Frequently asked questions
Why this ghee?
We don’t make ghee in factories. It’s made the way it used to be at home, in small batches using the traditional Bilona method. We first turn milk into curd, then hand-churn it to get butter, and slowly cook it into ghee. That’s why the aroma feels familiar. That’s why it tastes real. We use milk from indigenous Indian cows, so it’s not just about taste, it’s also easier to digest and better for your body.
No shortcuts. No chemicals. Just ghee the way it was always meant to be.
Why ₹3200/kg?
Honestly, because real ghee takes time, effort, and a lot of milk. To make just 1 kg of ghee, we need around 25 to 30 liters of milk. And we don’t use factory processes, we follow the slower, traditional way. It’s made in small batches, with care at every step, from sourcing the milk to preparing the final jar.
So when you buy this, you’re not just paying for ghee. You’re paying for quality, honesty, and the effort behind it.
Why trust us?
We know trust matters, especially when it comes to food. That’s why we keep things simple and transparent:
We follow traditional methods, not shortcuts || We never add preservatives or anything artificial || Every batch is carefully made and checked || We source from farms we trust || We’re not trying to become the biggest brand out there || We just want to be a brand you feel good about keeping in your kitchen, every single day.
Founder Story
Shreesah comes from where real ghee actually begins — the farm.
We come from a family of farmers, where cows were never just a source of income, but a part of everyday life. Ghee wasn’t something we bought. It was something made at home, slowly, with care, and shared with everyone at the table.
As we grew older and moved closer to cities, we realized something had changed.
The ghee available in the market didn’t feel the same. The aroma was missing. The richness felt diluted. And somewhere along the way, the process had become faster, cheaper, and less honest.
That didn’t sit right with us.
So we decided to go back to what we already knew.
We returned to our roots, to the farms, to the traditional Bilona method we had seen growing up. We worked closely with farmers like our own families, using milk from indigenous Indian cows, and followed the same slow, careful process that had been trusted for generations.
No machines replacing care. No shortcuts replacing tradition.
The first batches we made were not meant for selling. They were for our own homes, our own families. And when we shared it with others, the response was simple:
“This tastes like the ghee we grew up with.”
That’s how Shreesah started.
Not as a brand built in a boardroom, but as something that comes from lived experience, from the soil, from real farms, and real people.
Today, every jar we make carries that same intention — to bring back the purity, the taste, and the honesty that ghee was always meant to have.
